License Policy of BookmarkingDemon

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:10 pm

The license policy is such that you can install the software in more than 1 computer but the software can only be activated on a maximum of 2 computers. To install the software on a 3rd computer, you will need to deactivate 1 copy on 1 of the computers first.

The second instance running will kick out the first running instance. If you need to run the software concurrently on both computers, you will need to purchase an additional license.

Installation

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:53 pm

1) BMD requires .NET 3.5 framework installed in the computer that you are running in order to run.
2) If you have any firewall installed, ensure that you give BMD permanent access to the Internet.
3) BMD is a portable application. It does not require administrator rights in order to work. We recommend it to be installed in a folder that is not inside C:\Program Files. Preferably in the default installation folder.
4) Host file (Check this if you encounter the error message "Error connecting to server")
Check your host file (Found in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file) to see if you have
- edwinsoft.net pointing to 127.0.0.1
- bookmarkingdemon.com pointing to 127.0.0.1
- edwinsoft.com pointing to 127.0.0.1
If so, remove that link and reboot your computer. Try loading the software again.
Note that you require admin rights to edit the hosts file.

Can BookmarkingDemon work with foreign language?

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 9:16 pm

As long as the language is Unicode, BMD should be able to support it.

BMD does not restrict the language of bookmarks that you are promoting. It very much depends on the bookmarking sites that you submit to, whether they allow non-english (e.g. italian) bookmarks to be submitted.

Postby jenny » Wed Jan 25, 2012 10:03 pm

All titles, tags and description in BMD supports text spinning. BMD will spin the text based on {|} that you inserted.

E.g. The {quick|fast running|hyper} fox {jumps|leap|fly} over the {idling|lazy} dog. can return:

"the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. "

or

"the hyper fox leap over the idling dog. "

RSS Camouflage in BookmarkingDemon

Postby jenny » Thu Jan 26, 2012 1:38 pm

RSS camouflage allows you to mix URLs retrieved from public websites via RSS feeds into your bookmark submission. This allows your submission to look more natural to bookmarking site owners. As a result it lowers the chance of getting your accounts banned because you have been flagged as a self-promoter.

Click the RSS icon from the toolbar to add RSS feeds into your task.

You can refer to Page 89 of the User Guide for graphical illustrations.
