License Policy of ArticleDemon

Postby jenny » Mon Jan 23, 2012 10:05 pm

The license policy is such that you can install the software in more than 1 computer but the software can only be activated on a maximum of 2 computers. To install the software on a 3rd computer, you will need to deactivate 1 copy on 1 of the computers first.

The second instance running will kick out the first running instance. If you need to run the software concurrently on both computers, you will need to purchase an additional license.

What can ArticleDemon do?

Postby jenny » Mon Jan 23, 2012 10:07 pm

AD is an article submission tool.

We have approximately 100 article directories in AD. On top of that, we have a bonus list ofarticle directories that users can download and add into AD to be submitted.

Users are also allowed to self-add their own Article MS/Friendly/Dashboard/Beach and Wordpress sites into AD using AD's site detector.

Installation

Postby jenny » Mon Jan 23, 2012 10:10 pm

1) AD requires .NET 3.5 framework installed in the computer that you are running in order to run.
2) If you have any firewall installed, ensure that you give AD permanent access to the Internet.
3) AD is a portable application. It does not require administrator rights in order to work.

Can ArticleDemon work with foreign language?

Postby jenny » Mon Jan 23, 2012 10:15 pm

As long as the language is Unicode, AD should be able to submit to those directories.

AD comes with a default English synonym database. You can make use of the Synonyms Harvester to build up your synonyms database.

AD also does not restrict the language that the articles are submitted. It is entirely up to the article directories that you are submitting your article to, whether they allow non-English articles to be submitted.

Split data file into multiple data files

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:13 pm

If you wish to have different data files that contain different accounts and pennames, here's how. This can ease your data management.

To create a separate data file, you can copy and paste your existing data.ad1 file into different filename e.g. "ProjectA.ad1" file. Next time when you want to submit articles for Project A, just drag the data file into" EdwinSoft.ArticleDemon.exe". That will do.

Otherwise, if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, run AD in admin mode so that AD can register the .ad1 filetype to itself. Once that is done, restart AD and next time you can simply double-click on .ad1 file to open them in AD.

The "admin mode" applies only to vista users who wish to register the .ad1 filetype. To run AD in admin mode, you can right-click on the shortcut of AD on the desktop and choose "Run as administrator". This will run AD in admin mode. However, you will need to have admin rights to the pc to do so.

Email activation and ArticleDemon

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:24 pm

Any mail provider that supports POP3 should work with ArticleDemon.

Note that some self-added sites could be misconfigured, for instance "http://domainname.com" is the site's URL, while the activation email link is "http://www.domainname.com/activationlink", the difference in domain name will cause the account activation to fail.

For such sites, what you can do is activate them manually.

HTML in article resource box in ArticleDemon

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:25 pm

You can put your links in the Article Resource box in this format:

For healthier teeth, visit our Healthy Smiles Clinic today.

The number of links within an article varies from directory to directory. Some directories do not allow more than 1 link to show up.

I would recommend you to have only 1 link in the resource box for better success rate in the submission and acceptance of the article.

How to fix an article submission failure?

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:38 pm

You can randomly pick some of the items that failed article submission in the Article Submission Queue, and right-click on the item to choose "View Last Error". You can then take a look at the exact error message that was thrown when it rejects your article submission.

Refer to Ultimate Guide for graphical illustrations on "How to find out the cause of a submission failure".

After looking at the reason of failure, if you are able to correct the error that the directory is throwing (e.g. Summary too short), you can proceed to re-submit the article in the Article Submission Queue.

When will my submitted article be published?

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:41 pm

It is at the site's owner sole discretion whether or not to include your articles. If published, they also reserve the right to remove any articles at any time.

There is also no definite time frame on when a submitted article will get published.

Directories can take a while to approve the articles due to the amount of articles they receive daily. And some directories will either not approve the article or approve them very slowly as the site owner might not be maintaining it frequently.

To get a definite publication date, you will need to have your own private directories network.

How to create a drip schedule?

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:46 pm

The drip schedule should be created based on how many articles per site that you want to submit per schedule.

As there are no hard and fast rule on the best settings, adjust the drip schedule according to your preference.

Keep in mind that you should keep your submissions appear natural to the site by spreading out your submissions evenly over time.

Backup ArticleDemon data file

Postby jenny » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:49 pm

It is a good practice to do a periodic backup of your "data.ad1"and "data.rwt" to avoid losing your hardwork.

To backup your data file, you can copy and paste your current "data.ad1" to another filename. E.g. "todaydate_AD1_Data_Backup.ad1".
